RESTYLANE & PERLANE INJECTIONS

Injectable dermal fillers are safe and natural cosmetic fillers that can restore volume and fullness to the skin. Restylane and Perlane are used to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as folds next to the nose and mouth. Restylane has also been used very successfully for lip augmentation.

Restylane is made of non-animal based hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that exists in the human body and provides volume and fullness to the skin. The hyaluronic acid in Restylane is a crystal-clear gel called NASHA, or non-animal stabilized hyraluronic acid. NASHA is biodegradable and fully compatible with human hyaluronic acid.

Plastic surgeons and dermatologists have used the Restylane dermal filler worldwide since 1996. There is limited risk of animal-based diseases transmission or allergic reaction. Allergy testing is not required. Restylane contains trace amounts of gram-positive bacteride proteins and should not be used by patients with a history of allergies to such materials.

RADIESSE INJECTIONS

The Radiesse injectable filler can smooth and enhance key areas of the face, reducing lines between the nose and mouth, filling in the so-called "smile lines" and "frown lines". Radiesse also diminishes blemishes such as acne scars and restores the natural contours of the cheeks.

Radiesse is a completely synthetic compound comprised of calcium hydroxilapatite, combined with an aqueous gel. Calcium is a natural substance already in the body. Radiesse causes no allergic reactions or inflammation. The basic element of Radiesse has been safely used by the medical profession for more than 25 years. When injected, the cream-like texture of Radiesse feels soft and natural. Unlike products that lose their effectiveness within only a few months, the Radiesse dermal filler provides 1-2 years of rejuvenation with only intermittent touch ups. Radiesse is replaced by the bodies own tissue as it gradually dissolves.

Your First Appointment

Allow time before your first appointment to fill out forms and consult with the doctor. The doctor will access your facial concerns and make recommendations as to which dermal filler would be appropriate for your situation. You will have ample opportunity to discuss your areas of concern and expectations for treatment.

The Procedure

You will be seated in a reclining treatment chair, much like you find in a dental office. To optimize your comfort during the short procedure, local anesthesia maybe used in the treatment areas. The entire procedure is normally completed within 30 to 45 minutes.

The Results

Enhancement is relatively painless and minor swelling from the injections typically disappears within 24 hours. Application of ice for a short period of time after treatment will help reduce swelling. Happily you will see results immediately. Both Radiesse and Restylane help restore what time has taken away.
